Sélection de T.S Eliot (1941)

Comment entrer dans l’œuvre poétique de Kipling, aussi immense que peu disponible en français ? En complément de l’entrée alphabétique, thématique et éditoriale, il m’a semblé utile d’ajouter les quelques sélections déjà existantes, et la mienne au fur et à mesure de la progression par ordre alphabétique de mes traductions.

Le choix de poésie de T.S.Eliot est la plus complète des sélections disponibles. Elle couvre l’ensemble des poèmes, des plus connus aux plus représentatifs, par un poète fin connaisseur de l’œuvre poétique de Kipling. Eliot cherche à le réhabiliter au moment où tout en restant populaire il est relégué au purgatoire, voire en enfer par la critique. C’est la meilleure sélection pour découvrir la diversité des poèmes et ses thèmes.
